Gender-Affirmative Care

What does gender-affirmative care stand for? How can medical care help individuals to affirm their genders? How does enrollment in a "gender clinic" work? Or what different aspects of healthcare are involved in this category of care? In this workshop we will dive into different facets of gender-affirming care, including hormonal therapies, surgeries and more. We will provide some historical context, explain how gender-affirmative care is currently implemented in the Netherlands, and what the current opportunities and challenges are.
