Trans Healthcare - through a student lens

The Gender-affirming Health Minor (Tranzorg van jong tot oud) at Radboud University Medical Center aims to provide medical students with the knowledge and skills necessary to address the healthcare needs of transgender individuals.

Treat it Queer collaborated with third-year bachelor students to creat a photovoice project, in which they were encouraged to use instant photography as a tool to explore and document barriers and enabling factors to access healthcare faced by transgender individuals.

The resulting photographs - and the accompanying reflections by the students - serve as a powerful representation of the struggles and triumphs of transgender individuals seeking care, and offer valuable insights into the ways in which the medical community can better support access to gender-affirming care.
